2025 Fulbright Specialist – Engineering Professor, Arash Takshi

Professor Arash Taksh, has been named a Fulbright Specialist by the U.S. Department of State. This appointment provides U.S. professionals like Takshi with a chance to participate in short-term, project-based exchanges, where they work with host institutions abroad to promote mutual understanding and foster educational collaborations. The Fulbright Specialist Program is designed to provide U.S. academics and professionals with the opportunity to share their expertise globally while building capacity at their overseas host institutions.

Assistant Professor Rituparna Samanta from ºÚÁϳԹÏ꿉۪s Department of Chemical, Biological, and Materials Engineering has been awarded a 2025 New Researcher Grant. Her work explores the phase behavior of proteins and polymers, advancing biomedical engineering and materials science. Samanta joined ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø in 2024 after postdoctoral work at Johns Hopkins.

Joe Register Donates to ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Engineering to Support Student Innovation

In December 2024, Joe Register, Ph.D., chief engineer at AEVEX Aerospace and a proud alumnus of the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø College of Engineering, generously donated to the ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø Foundation to support multiple initiatives within the college. Register earned his master’s in electrical engineering from ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø in 2012. His contribution will directly enhance opportunities for students. The College of Engineering expresses its gratitude to Joe and Alicia Register for their generosity.
