Is Your Financial Aid Ready To Pay?

To ensure you’re ready for the start of your next term, please review the below checklist and address anything that applies to you. Please note that financial aid, including grants, federal loans, and Bright Futures, can be reduced if your enrollment changes. 

If you have questions at any point, please contact the Office of Financial Aid on your campus.

1. Check for Unsatisfied Requirements

Review your for any outstanding requirements that could delay your financial aid disbursement.

Examples may include:

• Missing documentation
• Verification requirements
• Loan counseling or promissory note requirements 

Complete any outstanding items as soon as possible.

2. Verify Your FAFSA

Confirm that your most recent FAFSA is on file in Student Self-Service.

If your FAFSA is not showing:

• Visit and verify that ºÚÁϳԹÏÍø's school code (001537) is listed.

• Review your FAFSA information for accuracy.
• If you recently made changes to your FAFSA, please let us know. Updates may take several days to appear in Student Self-Service. 

First-time federal loan borrowers: Make sure you have completed both:

• Federal Entrance Counseling
• Master Promissory Note (MPN)

3. Review and Accept Your Financial Aid Offer

In Student Self-Service:

• Accept the Financial Aid Terms & Conditions
• Accept, decline, or reduce any offered federal loans
• Accept or decline any Federal Work-Study offer 

Completing these steps helps ensure your aid is processed correctly.

4. Check Your Tuition Deferment Status

If your anticipated financial aid covers your tuition and fees, you may qualify for a tuition deferment, which extends your tuition payment deadline while your aid is being processed.

Review your account to see if a deferment has been applied.

5. Check Your Bright Futures Status (Florida Students Only)

If you are eligible for Bright Futures and do not see it reflected in Student Self-Service:

• Log in to your State of Florida account.
• Review all sections carefully for any outstanding issues or errors. 

6. See If You Qualify for BAPP

The Bookstore Advance Purchase Program (BAPP) allows eligible students to use a portion of their anticipated financial aid to purchase required course materials before aid disburses.

Check your eligibility in Student Self-Service before classes begin.

7. Subscribe to eDeposit

Sign up for eDeposit to receive any eligible financial aid refunds as quickly as possible.

Students who are not enrolled in eDeposit will receive refunds by mailed check, which can take longer to arrive.

8. Monitor Your Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

To remain eligible for federal financial aid, you must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP).

• Check your SAP status in Student Self-Service.
• Continue monitoring your status throughout the semester.

October 9, 2026	Payment deadline for students with a deferment/Florida Prepaid plan
